This song is a classic in every sense. It has been covered by numerous artists over the years, but this is the original by The Moments, later know as Ray, Goodman and Brown.
As my friend Larry used to say: "This is a really romantic song. You could even slow dance to it. Cool, man."
The first few times that I heard this song, I thought that the lead singer was a woman. I didn't make the same mistake with Eddie Holman's "Hey There, Lonely Girl." By then, I had been ed-u-mi-cated adequately.
