Welcome to Radio DAZZ

You'll find fabulous music to brighten your day and to take you away. There is, of course, the occasional YouTube video which accompanies the music -- most of these videos are...well.....there's no accounting for some people's tastes. Suffice it to say that I swear by the music, and I swear at the videos, laden with ridiculous advertisements.

Closing your eyes while listening is not only allowed, but in order to maximize pleasure, it is recommended.

Here, in DAZZville you will find music collections (programs), pre-programmed video players, jukebox links and other musical things to give you a well-deserved break from the monotony of your routine and to re-ignite the creative, imaginative potential of the child within.

Yep. That's me in 1967. I was a nerd. Now stop laughing.
-----
A Terrible Secret -- Revealed!

It's true. When I was younger, I was an incredibly proficient guitar player with aspirations of making it big in the business of funk, soul and rock n' roll. Dazz (aside from being the title of a great song by the old funk group BRICK, which came along some years later), was my nickname. It is a contraction (perhaps a soulful lingovation) of "disco" and "jazz."

Most of the crew with whom I worked had too much trouble pronouncing "Douglas" or "Doug".

The song follows. The bassline still kicks me in the chest.

To hear it,just click on THE DAZZ BAND YouTube mini-video player or on this hyperlink, if the mini-player gets temperamental:

Fun Fact:The wildest thing about the video frame above is that the wrong album cover is on it -- the song was never done by The Dazz Band at all.

The band who performed the song was Brick, as I'd mentioned earlier, if you were paying close attention.

Ain't nobody complainin' though. Amen.
