Sade has one of the most sultry and mysterious vocal styles I've ever heard. She is preternaturally calm and sweet in the softness of her vocal delivery, but there is an undercurrent of deep, dark passion and longing. Her life (her "legend") is also private, and equally mysterious. This particular song is one of her finest, and one of the most bewitching mood pieces that Sade has ever sung. Even the very song title is, if you look at it for just a bit, has an air of foreboding..."This Is No Ordinary Love."
