THE FIFTH DIMENSION
The fact is that they have always been one of my favorite groups. Everything about them was sweet and soulful. The memories that these songs evoke in me are so powerful and bittersweet that I don't know what to do with the way that I feel. Sometimes these damn songs make me want to go back in time to right my wrongs, to say the things that I wish that I'd had the courage to say, and to take back the foolish words said in anger.
This music reminds me of innocence, limitless possibilities, constant learning -- when we were listening to this music, we were like fresh, new flowers, just coming into bloom. I find that I long for the fragrance of flowers that cannot grow in this harsh climate.
When I listen to this music, with its tender orchestration, and gentle harmonies, I realize that I have finally grown up enough to understand the meaning of the term "bittersweet."
Forgive me my self-indulgence, and listen to several fabulous songs; each one a polished, precious work of art. Savor them. I give you The Fifth Dimension - Sweet and Soulful...
