I know, I know...everybody remembers the King Harvest single of this song. And yes, King Harvest's version was fabulous -- it had us dancing around our dorm rooms when no one was around, and humming in the courtyard, and well...happy.

"Dancin' In The Moonlight" is a great, simple song, filled with joy.

The less well-known version, done by Orleans (not too long ago -- they were all grown-ups) is superior musically, with richer harmony, better solos, steel drums (!), and some very harmonious guitar work.

That band also contained his brother Wells Kelly and Larry Hoppen, both of whom left Boffalongo to join John Hall to form Orleans.
