De-Stress: "It's Alright," by The Impressions - You Know This One!

This song, by The Impressions (and later re-done very soulfully by Huey Lewis and the News) is timeless. The sentiment, "It's Alright," is something that we can all use -- socially, in business, in international relations...sometimes we get so immersed in our own striving and stressing that we lose all perspective. Sometimes we try so hard to force our agendas or to advance our careers that we lose all perspective of the fact that these things do not truly define us.

Every now and then, Dr. Dazz (practicing music therapy without a license) prescribes this regimen:

1. shoes off;
2. sit back (hands cradled behind your weary neck);
3. listen to some fabulous music -- it will take you away from your temporary terrors;
4. bounce your knees (your feet might automatically want to stand up on their tippy toes) to the beat;
5. let yourself (your "bad self") succumb to the urge to either sing or hum along (how loudly you do this depends upon where you are at the time).

Repeat the above steps (all five) at least three times during the course your work day. And don't let me catch you multitasking. We both know that you can't really let it all go and relax while you're multitasking. RadioDAZZ issues one guarantee -- the world will continue to do its own thing while you abandon it for a brief while, and it will still be intact (relatively speaking) when you come back from your brief souljourn (this last word is a Lingovation).

You know what to do...
