Snoopy's Christmas - "Christmas Bells..."

It's a Christmas Classic from the "Snoopy Versus The Red Baron" genre of the 1960's. performed by the Royal Guardsmen, who later gave birth to (if I'm not mistaken), the heartbreaking group Lobo, who had an enormous catalog in their (his) own right...remember "Baby, I'd Love You To Want Me," "Me And You And A Dog Named Blue," and the infamously profound and melancholy "I Love You Too Much To Ever Start Liking You / So Don't Expect Me To Be Your Friend"?*

But now, without further ado, here's "Snoopy's Christmas/ Christmas Bells," It is silly, but if you listen to the lyrics, and you let them get inside of you, you might just get a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye. If you listen to this song alone, and pay close attention to the story (i.e., the lyrics), you might even find it cathartic.

Some things are genuinely holy, and are worth preserving.

p.s. At the end, you'll catch a bit of the late Vince Guaraldi's piano playing on "Oh Tannenbaum." R.I.P., Vince. I remember "The Charlie Brown Christmas Theme Song," "Cast Your Fate To The Wind," and the magical signature sound of your jazz trio -- just piano, string bass and drums... you are not forgotten here. - Douglas E.
