Image by Getty Images via @daylifeDavy Jones, the 5'3" tall actor, singer and frontman of the made-for-TV rock group, The Monkees, died at 66 years of age of a heart attack barely two days ago. He graced the Boomers of the 60s with a wonderfully positive presence, a self-deprecating sense of humor and an infectiously affable sense of humor. Dazz confesses that you, Davy, were one of his childhood idols...
My favorite of his songs was "Daydream Believer," and I wanted to share it with you while I quietly mourn the end of a life and the end of an era.
I would like to follow it with an appropriate and underappreciated late era Righteous Brothers song -- "Rock And Roll Heaven," and somber couldn't-miss single that exhibits the rugged bottom side baritone of singer Bill Medley's voice.
All of you DAZZophiles know the clicking ritual. Davy -- rest in peace. And thank you.
