France Joli was a true disco dance sensation. Everybody danced to her music -- not enough people knew who she was. And she was something! She did "Come To Me" - but everybody was thinking (and DAZZ was one of /em, isn't Donna Summer Great?). Joli was a disco diva who actually starting her career when she was 15 years old! That's as young as Evelyn Champagne King was.
A collection of some of her hits follows to disco you out of your seat and onto the floor. The videos leave a great deal to be desired, and I've left out my customary embedded video players. Instead, I put a fine (!) photograph of France in her prime at the top of this post.
She'll be appearing live and in concert (with a dance floor for getting you up and out of your chair) On October 5th at DanceSceneWest at The Westchester Ballroom in Mount Kisco, Westchester County New York. The disco night is a benefit for The Children's Cancer Fund.
You can grab tickets (at around $32.00 per ticket, first-come, first-served -- limited seating) by clicking on DISCO NIGHT TICKETS
