Men At Work - "Who Can It Be Now?"

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

These are those guys from "down under." The famed Austrailian group of the 1980s had a number of hits. Rather like a rough, non-reggae version of Sting and the Police, these guys put down some straight-ahead rock and roll, with some very clever comedic lyrics as well.

"Who Can It Be Now" is a true classic in the genre  of "paranoic" rock. I invented this genre, so believe me -- I know. It's up there with "Don't Take Me Alive" by Steely Dan, a song that chilled me to the core the first few times that I'd heard it. The video is hysterical.

Listen for the influences of The Police, Dire Straits and certain other guitar-slinging bands from US and UK in this particular cut. Is the bridge in C# Minor? Help me out there!
