Jaggerz - The Rapper

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

Yes. "The Rapper". A garage-quality recording with a clanking cowbell (a bit like the Chambers Bros., but completely white) done by Jaggerz, a one-hit wonder.

You'll have to admit -- the seventh chord closed harmonies are awfully catchy. The lyrics are actually hysterical -- they epitomize every high-school Romeo in a frat jacket -- these guys generally grow older, lose some hair, get a bit stouter, and continue to use the same tactics to victimize potentially suggestible (i.e., pliable and not wholly-unpleasant to look at) women. If they weren't so intent on their polished patter, they'd have noticed that most of the women were rolling their eyes within two minutes of the start of the "pick-up monologue."

I can barely tolerate myself for getting such a kick out of this song.

Try it. And listen to the lyrics. You'll smile, despite yourself.
