When I first heard this song performed by Anne Murray, I fell in love with the purity, cleanliness and pure effortless musicality of her voice.
As a side note, Roy Orbison was Elvis Presley's idol, and Anne Murray's rendition of "Snowbird" was his favorite recording!
My favorite song of all time is Anne Murray's version of "Let Me Be The One." Karen Carpenter did a beautiful job of it, but Anne Murray did it so effortlessly, it was as if she had become a channel for a disembodied angelic spirit to express its love for someone whose identity we'll never know.
