The ultimate, Brit-based, super-produced top ten formula smash (a full orchestra of real and synthetic instruments, deluxe with funky semi-synth sax, twangy upper-register guitar riffs, assorted echo and reverberation effects, counterpoint background vocals, modulations, instrumentals, biting bass voice back up and straight-ahead kickin' drums) to bring the late 1970's sound into the early 1980s. "Everybody Have Fun Tonight" is in a class of its own -- let's call it ("it" can't hear us anyway, so where's the harm, eh?) "Alternative Dancefloor Disco."
Crank up the volume, sit back (although you might want to drum on a table or chair, so keep one at close proximity), and savor this decidedly un-Motown hoot by clicking on the link. Oh, and by the way, if you have a place of your own, or you're listening somewhere where your credibility won't be compromised (i.e., no body home), dance around the room like a crazed Apache and do a rain dance. I always do.
