On to the most profoundly elaborate, angelic, hypnotic pieces of mood music ever performed by Boz Scaggs, who is definitely a balladeer, a versatile singer, and one of The RadioDAZZ guy's favorite performers. Boz is a perfectionist - his first major market album was produced by David Paitch and then his subsequent works by Michael Omartian.
My friend Joyce started by getting me hooked on "Lowdown," and my appreciation for this this amazing talent has grown ever since. My appreciation for Joyce never has left -- she was there for so much of the music of my life, and had introduced me to some of the greatest music I had ever known. Maybe the girl knew more about me than I knew about myself. Eventually, Uncle DAZZ was "Down Two, Then Left," and my teenage muse and I drifted apart -- physically, more than spiritually. I have always since thought of myself as an actor in her life's movie. Thank you, Mabes.
I wrote this comment on YouTube after hearing this magical song, and having to hold back tears of either joy or sorrow. Joyce taught me what "Bittersweet" meant by her example - in and out of my life - like a reluctant but loving muse:
