I am not a great fan of Sting's. I enjoyed "Message In a Bottle, " "Roxanne," and numerous other Top 40 Songs featuring Sting, with or without the Police. I've enjoyed some of his forays into jazz, such as "Englishman In New York." He is a gifted songwriter, poet and moody singer.

The song that has touched me the most, through his career, is perhaps the moodiest and most profoundly serious of all. It brings pictures into my mind. I feel Ireland, although I've never been there. The instrumentation is much like that of an Irish folksong (just listen), but the nostalgia, the longing for the innocence of youth and for the beautiful all-absorbing romantic obsessions of the past is universal. It is a surprise from Sting, and a gift from me to you.

It somehow brings to mind Roger Daltrey's surprise (but underplayed) single -- "Where Would I Be Without Your Love?"
