THE MONSTER MASH! - Listen!

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

It is Halloween, the joyous ancient Pagan fest when, after the moon is high and the wolf howls (a mournful and blood-curdling sound), the living are reunited with the dead, who rise up for one last dance (likely a waltz or gavotte -- definitely not a bossa nova, the monkey or the swim) before they must return to the other side.

In the meantime, the undead (mostly vampires and difficult relatives who've moved in with you) continue to suck their sustenance out of the living, so that they may do the things that vampires like to do. Like making movies, for example.

And now, without further ado, RadioDAZZ presents you with a link (between the living and the dead) to click to hear Bobby "Boris" Pickett sing The Monster Mash, a seasonal tradition. By the way, Dazz-O-Lites, this version has the lyrics on the video so that all may sing (or howl) along!

Just click on the thing below, or on the YouTube video player, if it makes an appearance...

RadioDAZZ Music Break with Sam Cooke - "Chain Gang"

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

A Quick Change Of Pace for Those Running the Human Race...

RadioDAZZ Music Break with Sam Cooke - "Chain Gang"

The legendary Sam Cooke singing "Chain Gang." An iconic, melodious, unforgettable tune with two extra special things to listen for:

1. The percussive "clank" of a stick hitting a metal pipe -- keeping time to the music on every upbeat;

2. The bass back-up singer who sings the intro words "...and don't ya know..." Very rich.

Real live instruments. Fabulous vocal harmony. Not overproduced or underproduced -- just perfect. A wonderful work song for every entrepreneur living in this era. Fellow (and lady) captains of the next generation of great business enterprises, I salute you all!
Put your shovels and picks down for a moment, wipe the sweat from your brow, stretch your back, and take a well-deserved RadioDAZZ music break from your self-imposed servitude. Stay positive and (in the words of others far greater than I), "Just keep on keepin' on!"

Amen, brothers and sisters. -- DC

Clint Holmes - "The Playground In My Mind"

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

Have you no shame? I don't. Singer Clint Holmes didn't when he released it in 1973. If you find this song catchy, you're not alone -- there are special clubs and programs for people like us.

Once, while having lunch at a Japanese hibachi-style retaurant, my girlfriend and I shared a table with the very same kid (in his early twenties at the time of our encounter) who actually sang the refrain about "My Name Is Michael..." I didn't get his autograph. But then, he didn't get mine either.

Enjoy this. Nobody has to know.
