DAZZ (DiscoJazz) - by Brick -- My Eternal Theme Song - Xtended

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

DAZZ is a confunkulation of the music genres "Disco" and "Jazz". Actually, it is neither. Real DAZZ, as in the RadioDAZZ variety is much more about funk and soul than about disco or jazz (per se). Just the same, people are inclined to call any type of music that doesn't easily fall into an obvious category either "jazz" or "alternative."

The following piece of pure, raw funk artistry, is my signature song. It was actually performed by BRICK (and not the Dazz Band, great though they were). Everything about it from bassline to flute and whistle is perfect.

Click, pump up the volume and fade away into ecstasy... Show your Uncle some love! Enjoy This Ride.

Some Comments Posted On YouTube [uncensored]:

My name is Reg, and I'm a Funkaholic. I've been a funk addict since 1974 when I was 10 and my mama left me in the car wit an 8-track of Kool & The Gang playin "Hollywood Swingin" and "Jungle Boogie". Then came the Ohio Players wit "Skin Tight", "Fire" and "Love Rollercoaster". So by 1976 when Brick dropped Dazz, I was hooked. These days I sneak out to my car at work, just to get a quick taste. Gimme some Parliament, Bar Kays, Fatback, Slave, Lakeside - It don't matter, as long as it's Funk!
