This song is absolutely hysterical. The lyrics relate to a little bird leaving his nest. The performing group is veddy, veddy British, and made a quick an immediate sensation with this song in 1970. The performance is so 1970s -- just look at the hair styles, the outfits, and especially at the red-haired lead singer's tight hot pants.
Not since Manfred Mann's "Do Wah Diddy" has a song with such a ridiculous title made such an impression on so many of us.
I dare you (a DAZZ dare) to listen to this song, "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep," performed by the British pop group Middle Of The Road, without smiling and telling some friends that they just have to hear it.
The video is just great - so filled with joy and the spirit of happiness. As they say, "Talk is cheap." So, I'll invite you to click on the hyperlink or on the YouTube Video Player and what happens when RadioDAZZ goes to Birdland.
