Duran Duran made the middle 1980s hum. They were rockers, indeed. But they had a powerful sound, filled with conviction, iconic themes, and memorable refrains that kept on reverberating in the back of your head. They were serious, but sarcastic. The harmony was incredible, and the arrangements so crisp that you could hear every single sound - no river mud - all diamonds. And don't tell your Uncle Dazz [ working hard for you here at The RadioDAZZ Blog, and cranking up the gas to set your memories and soul aflame] that their music won't totally grab your mood and direct you to some imaginary place (or maybe it's real) between the worlds.
So veddy British...so articulate and expressive!
You know how we do this: You click on each hyperlink or mini YouTube video player, savor the flavor, revel in the mood -- and then you come back to me and do the same with the next!
You'll enjoy these. Be patient with VIEW TO A KILL -- it's worth it.
