PSYCH Theme - By The Friendly Indians

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

The Psych television series is infantile, dumb, predictable, totally devoid of credibility, and I watch it sometimes, well, just because I like to see Corbin Bernsen with and without his toupe (he was a heartthrob on L.A. Law), and I think that Dule Hill [with that accent over the 'e' in his first name] is a perfect straight man for the starring twosome. If you've ever seen the outtakes, they are very funny, and funnier, is that the commentary shows you that Lassie and some of the other incompetents on the show are all bright, articulate and genuinely funny. I like Lassiter -- and he's really acting -- he's actually a bright fellow acting the part of a dufus.

The theme song is one of those catchy little ditties in the key of G, with a wonderful open twangy, fast-paced (DAZZ calls this "drivin' music") and a nice little bit of wordplay (on the refrain) with kind of throw-away verses which don't really seem to matter. The refrain "I know/ you know..." is all that's necessary:

Lyrics:

In between the lines
There's a lot of obscurity
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity
If it's all right then you're all wrong
Why bounce around to the same downed song
You'd rather run when you can't crawl

I know You know that
I'm not telling the truth
I know you know they
Just don't have any proof
Embrace the deception, learn how to bend
Your worst inhibitions,
They will Psych you out in the end

I know you know, I know you know,
I know you know, I know you know ,
I know you know, I know you know

Barenaked Ladies: Big BANG Theory And More.

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

Barenaked Ladies: They have made Geek Chiq, intellect sexy and allegory cool.

I think these guys are great. As I longtime fan, I've watched them become less introverted, obscure and dark (in their references to less than ideal social situations -- like not being popular at your high school, being the last guy picked for a sports team when they're choosing up sides, being afraid to ask any girl for a date... kind of like they way I was until I was possessed of the spirit of Uncle DAZZ) and seen them let the music, the harmonies, the magic flow.

Their theme song for the Big Bang Theory is clever (especially when you get all of the lyrics -- I've put them into a post before) and appropriately forced, but some of their other, simpler "sing-along" songs are fabulous. Enjoy the collection that follows. Click on the links and tell me what you thinks

Start All Over Again - It's Not An Ending. It's A New Begininning

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

We hate to start all over again. But then again we're always wishing for second chances. As rocky a road as my life has been, I'd love the chance to start all over again; maybe I've learned enough from a life littered with mistakes that I can get it right (or at least much, much better this time). Nothing else to say, except that I love this song, and so will you.

The artist was Tyrone Davis, and the title of the song was actually "Can I Change My Mind". The signature guitar riff is phenomenal, funky and tasty-sweet! I learned that thing and played it 'til I needed a new pick. The rest of the guitar work throughout the song is technically awe-inspiring. The brass plays along in a shadow of it from time to time.

Just click on the pick below, and let the music and the feelings flow.

Your Uncle DAZZ loves you. He hopes that you'll find a good reason to love him back. Step back, and give your friend a chance to reinvent himself...
