We're Going To KATMANDU! - RadioDAZZ

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

Boogie-woogie-basslineImage via WackypediaBob Seger screams two octaves worth of "Katmandu" -- a surfing song if I've ever heard one. Hard-driving, straight-ahead, rock n' roll, with tinklin' barroom piano, bent harmonica, cliched razzy sax solo, and loads of heavily reverb-enhanced guitar.

Ringing open E-stringing! Listen for every trite boogie-woogie theme that you've ever heard... this song has them all...it's like the Smithsonian of 'ya can't go wrong' licks.

Enjoy this. Stuttering and all. Thanks to Bob Seger. It was my g-g-g-generation, too.  And remember --- Rock And Roll Never Forgets.

This song is pure fun. Click on the hyperlink, or on the video player. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. Dig DAZZ? Do. Please.

RadioDAZZ Needs Twitteration* And Followation*

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

I love to provide RadioDAZZ (or is it DAZZRadio), as much as I hope that you enjoy listening to it.

May I ask a favor of you? If you enjoy the music (and the stories, and the musical trivia, and the breaks, and the features) would you please follow me (Dazz) on my two Twitter accounts? I promise a quality flow of goodies....really. And while I'm not to proud to beg, would you get all of your soulmates, colleagues, friends, and lovers of great modern music to follow too?

Here are the Twitter pages to click on and follow:

http://twitter.com/RadioDAZZ and

http://twitter.com/DAZZRadio

If you do this for me, I will try to pay the ransom required to bring great music (finger-poppin', foot-stompin') back from the scoundrels who've stolen it from the airwaves.

Thank you so much!

DAZZ

p.s. It might take me a bit, but if I can, I'll even follow you back...this way we can chase each other around the den.

James Brown - Papa's Got A Brand New Bag - DAZZOLOGY

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

The Godfather of soul. Stand-up bass, laying out pure funk. Baritone sax, honkin'. Super brass riff. James is dancing like a man possessed, performing "Papa's Got A Brand New Bag" on SHINDIG. This is my favorite of his. I offer it up to you with respect and love.

Wait....here's the original recording -- not quite as explosive as the live version, but street lethal, with a baritone sax solo that will grab you and spin you around. Must hear this.
