Forget the damned GEICO commercial -- Eddie Money can't compete with the Gecko. They shouldn't have shamed the po' boy that way. Cute to see Eddie as a rollicking rock-n'-roll relic, though. I love when a man can poke a little fun at himself...it's indicative of a healthy sense of humor, an acknowledgement of reality, and a love of entertaining. And Eddie was one heck of an entertainer with his riff-laden, climaxing crescendos and straight ahead verses, filled with all the life he could breathe into them. He was committed to the songs and his audiences.
Funny... the older I get, the more his music gets right to me.
