"Just Give A Kidney" - Hilarious, Star-Studded "30-Rock" Finale

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

Simply ignore this part: Sheryl Crowe, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie And The Cruisers, funk, jazz, Motown, Stax oldies, disco pop, Alison Krause, Issac Hayes, Chris Rea, The Foundations, Wilson Pickett, Fine Young Cannibals, Oingo Boingo, Alan Parsons, Michael McDonald, Michael Johnson, Michael Jackson, Otis Redding, Leo Sayer, Al Jarreau, The Platters, The Gap Band, Brownsville Station, Aerosmith, Squeeze, Billy Joel, Clay Aiken, Restless Heart, Cyrkle, Ides Of March....

 Here It Is!

"Just Give A Kidney" - The Hilarious, Star-Studded "30 Rock" Finale Is Here On The RadioDAZZ Blog for all of DAZZ-O-Philes and fans of the TV series 30 Rock! A Tina Fey triumph and a wickedly absurd [and seemingly innocuous] but subtly biting parody (or is it a satire?) of such star-laden "united-we-stand" music industry awareness/ exploitation group efforts as (for example) "We Are The World." Sometimes being cruel and being funny go together fist-in-glove....well at least philosophically. Then again, if the butt of your joke happens to overhear your sarcastic diatribe, and that person is, say your boss, or a really big chap in a biker bar, it could seriously reduce your career prospects as well as your life expectancy.

If you must use this combination, use it with great care -- because the RadioDAZZ guy not only cares about you, but also because he needs as much traffic to this site as possible in order to make some of his do-nothing affiliate program ads to pay off. Geez -- I give them real estate and they pay me a mere pittance.

Please enjoy this ridiculous video (click on the link or the player). How many rock icons can you pick out! Elvis Costello is wonderful. You've got an amazing variety of talent, doing something silly but fabulous!  Gotta love his outfit and overall style:

Michael Jackson: PYT ("Pretty Young Thing")

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

Michael Jackson, a tormented soul who wrought childhood abuse into amazing talent, was the indisputable King Of Pop. May his soul find find the peace which he could never find in a life surrounded by abusers, liars, parasites, misleaders and lowbrow Kevorkians. Amen, M.J. R.I.P.

When I did a stint as a university professor this fabulous song came out, but was underplayed. I thought it was great all-around pop. I had even taken to calling my female students (in rare moments of unbridled enthusiasm and being my joyous self) "PYTs" ("Pretty Young Things"). A great idea -- using an acronym as the catchline and the title of a pop song.

Click and enjoy, MFs! ("My Friends!"), and please remember to retweet us to complete us.
Love to all. - RadioDAZZ

Jose Feliciano Rocks Brazilian Samba: "I Want To Be Where You Are"

Share this ARTICLE with your colleagues on LinkedIn .

Jose Feliciano is perhaps one of the best performers I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. His voice is pure Latino passion (straight from the heart), and his hybrid finger-picking nylon guitar style is a mixture of gipsy [Gypsy, if it makes you feel better], flamenco, R and B and a touch of hoodoo magic.

He is best known for such hits as "Feliz Navidad," "Light My Fire," "La Bamba," and the iconic 70s theme song from the television sitcom "Chico And The Man."

Each was a gem of hyper-extended muscle memory combined with the spontaneous outpouring of a pure voice wracked with emotion unbnound.

Although Michael Jackson of The Jackson 5 made a hit of this particular song, nobody has ever performed it better than Jose Feliciano did at a live concert in 1982.

Click to enjoy the ecstatic performance of a true virtuoso, playing "I Want To Be Where You Are." [ooh-eee-baby!]

It's all there: Latin (Salsa influence), Afro Cuban, Brasilian, R and B and pure, unadulterated soul. It is a rocking, soulful samba with more heart than I've heard in a long time.  He has done Antonio Carlos Jobim, Mongo Santamaria, Dave Brubeck, Eddie Harris and every one who matters (from South Central L.A. to Motown to New York to Miami, to Philly, to Puerto Rico, to Mexico....to Rock and Roll Heaven) an unprecedented kindness in sharing his gift with us.                                          -DAZZ

Jackson 5 - I Wanna Be Where You Are lyrics
Could it be I stayed away too long?
Did I leave your mind when I was gone?
It's not my thing trying get back
But this time let me tell you where I'm at

You don't have to worry cause I'm comin'
Back to where I should have always stayed
And now I've heard the maybe to your story
And it's enough, love, for me stay

Could it be I stayed away too long?
Did I leave your mind when I was gone?
It's not my thing trying get back
But this time let me tell you where I'm at

Chorus:
I wanna, wanna be where you are, oh oh
Anywhere you are, oh oh
I wanna wanna be where you are, oh oh
Everywhere you are, oh oh

Please, don't close the door to our future
There's so many things we haven't tried
I could love you better than I used to
And give you all the love I have inside

[Instrumental]

Chorus:
(Oooh!!)
I wanna, wanna be where you are, oh oh
Any, any, anywhere you are, oh oh
I wanna wanna be where you are, oh oh
I gotta be where you are, oh oh

I wanna be...
I wanna be... oh, oh
Yeah yeah, baby now
